Keyshia Cole - Fallin' Out

This isn't a new song, but I just discovered it recently. It's her next single, actually. Pretty good R&B song with impressive vocals.

Josh Hoge - Stay Away

Finally Josh Hoge is releasing an album later this year. His single "360" did pretty well on the radio last year, but he never released any other material since then. Here's his next single.

Alex - If It's You

Korean artist Alex takes a break from his experimental music group Clazziquai to use his powerful vocals in the standard ballad genre. His first single is titled "If It's You" and it's already come out with a MV.

Leona Lewis - 2 songs

Some have called breakthrough debut artist Leona Lewis, winner of talent show The X Factor (UK Version) in Series 3, the next "Mariah Carey." Wouldn't be surprised. Here's "Angel" and "Better in Time," two of my favorite songs from her album Spirit, but honestly, I like the entire album. It's amazing.

Mariah Carey - 2 songs

Behind singles "Touch My Body" and "Bye Bye" comes Mariah's 3rd single, "Migrate" featuring T-Pain. And by popular opinion, I'll include a widely liked song, "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy. Check them out!

Frankie J - Driving Myself Insane

It looks like a new possible single with a bit of Spanish in it. Best known for his slow jam "Don't Wanna Try" (2003) and upbeat "That Girl" (2006), he's out to release another album, Time, sometime this year.

March - Spring Break Mix

The songs here don't necessarily reflect the Spring Break!!! type of mood--it's more of a mix that's just for chilling and mellowing out to. Ok, it's more of an excuse for the longass time since I've posted anything.

This is from Enchanted (eww), during the King's and Queen's Ball scene towards the end. This guy sounds like vocally strong artists such as Josh Kelley and definitely someone to look out for. Check out his other songs too, like "Beautiful Disaster."

A new single for a new album being released... who knows when? It sounds like a clubbing/techno song at first, but the song transforms into an ok catchy pop song.

Jason Mraz

courtesy bill zelman photography

This is a newer version of the hit "I'm Yours" that was released as a single a couple days ago, and it's been slightly tweaked, remastered, and amplified; with additions of hums and choruses, the differences are noticeable. This wasn't a single before... but hasn't everyone heard of this already? It'll do well on the charts then, I guess. Anyway, he's out to release his next album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things in May.

Here is another song he had released a while ago, but did not appear on any of his studio albums. It's titled "The Beauty In Ugly," renamed from "Plain Jane" and written for the ABC show Ugly Betty.

Mariah Carey - Touch My Body

courtesy official site

I normally don't listen to music like this, but I'm going to post it because A) it's by a popular artist, B) the song is decent, and C) it's by a female artist, and I do realize this sausage-infested blog has been lacking any of it minus the presence of Jordin Sparks and Lil Mama. I don't think I need an introduction to this artist--who DOESN'T know Mariah Carey? Here's her latest single from an upcoming album, E=MC2 which will be released in April. Everyone should be familiarized with this song once it hits the radio, anyway.

[MV] Lil Mama - Shawty Get Loose (ft. Chris Brown & T-Pain)

Rap artist Lil Mama is going to release her debut album Voice of the Young People later this year. Well, if it has Chris Brown in it, it must be good. The song and the music video are both okay. It's just amazing how Lil Mama and Chris Brown, who are both 18, are so young yet talented and famous.

Ryan Cabrera - Say

courtesy cabrera's official myspace page

I remember when I first heard Ryan Cabrera, my first thoughts were: Wow, he sings terribly! I think it was just his vocals for "True" (2004), but I listened to some of his earlier material before too and I didn't really like it. I think it might be just a little better now. He claims his music is moving in a new direction, and his new single Say from an upcoming album seems to prove his point. It's catchy and well, obviously pop.

Be sure to check out his Myspace for clips of other new songs.

Augustana - Sweet and Low

courtesy MTV.com

San Diego rock band Augustana's breakthrough came from their absolutely beautiful song "Boston" as well as "Stars and Boulevards" when it was released on the radio back in 2005. Now, they're back to release their next album Can't Love, Can't Hurt in May. Check out this amazing song, the lyrics have depth and the music has acoustic beauty.

I love this song! In two days it climbed up to #2 in my Most Played list. I'm not sure if the song I have has the best quality out there, so sorry.

Preview: Step Up 2 OST

courtesy IMDB

The upcoming movie release Step Up 2 the Streets, with a new roster of different characters, is the sequel to the dance movie Step Up. The OST for the first movie was compiled by various talented artists and songs that did a great job accomodating the wonderful choreographed hip hop moves. The all-star song list of the next OST looks to be promising as well, so take a listen! The songs are in no particular order, and it's missing three songs.

Flo-Rida - Elevator (feat. Timbaland)

Nope, no picture. I must be getting lazy hahah.

Rapper Flo-Rida's first single "Low" made him an instant hit. Now, from listening to his new single (featuring the incredibly talented producer Timbaland), I'd have to say his fanbase will continue to grow. The repetition of "ele" from "elevator" in the song reminds me of Rihanna's "Umbrella."

Deep Side - Booty Music

courtesy deepsidemusic.com

Deep Side is a R&B and hip-hop band whose fun, upbeat single "What I Need" gained much popularity when it first was released last year. They also had the underrated song "Lovely" from the movie Step Up. Check out their next single "Booty Music," which will no doubt recapture the curious ears of R&B junkies, especially since it was produced by T-Pain.

We Shot The Moon - Sway Your Head

courtesy official site

I attended a free concert on campus tonight, and it included indie bands The Envy Corps, We Shot The Moon, and Dave Elkins (of Mae).

We Shot The Moon consists of Jonathan Jones (of the now disbanded Waking Ashland) as well as Dan Koch and Joe Greenetz from Sherwood. Calmly melodic and obviously reminiscent from their previous work, the band generously connects meaningful lyrics with appealing melodies... but, I'm a bit biased because I like piano/pop/acoustic rock more than I do alternative. I'm usually not immersed in an indie rock phase for too long since a lot of it sounds the same (no offense).

Jordin Sparks

Because I haven't posted any songs by female artists yet...

courtesy official site

Jordin Sparks was the promising and youngest winner to grace American Idol in its sixth season, with her singles "Tattoo" and "No Air" featuring Chris Brown becoming instant hits. At only 18 years old, her strong, confident voice introduces a vibe of fresh talent deserving of more than one listen and reminds us why the nation crowned her as the winner this time around.

Some of her music is a bit too pop-ish for me though, so I'm not really used to it...
